How much thought do you put into the mowing of your lawn? There’s some value in giving some detailed thought to how you care for cutting your grass.

The simple matter of grass length can have a tremendous impact on your property. As you know, overgrown grass around a home is not very nice to look at. For that reason, many homeowners associations and city or county regulators have rules about how long grass can be allowed to grow before the homeowner is penalized. Additionally, tall grass can encourage pests like rodents and snakes, which can bring disease and do damage to your property.

On the other hand, cutting grass too short can be bad for your lawn. Short grass causes root growth to be shallow. If grass doesn’t have deep roots, it can quickly wither and die – and one thing that looks worse than tall grass is dead grass.
